Apple has released iTunes 9.2 for Mac and Windows – Jailbreakers STAY AWAY from this download

Apple Released iTunes 9.2

Apple has pushed the iTunes 9.2 final to both windows and Mac users. iTunes 9.2 is required to activate iOS 4.0 firmware for both iPhone and iPod Touch. iTunes 9.2 is the only version compatible with iOS 4.0.

Jailbreakers *ESPECIALLY Spirit users* should stay away from iTunes 9.2 until further notice.

Don’t install today’s iTunes 9.2 if you plan on using Spirit for fresh Jailbreak (but it’s fine for PwnageTool & redsn0w users). iTunes 9.2 will sync fine with *already* spirit jailbroken devices, but it’s better to be safe and stay away. (via Dev-Team)

NOTE: If you have updated to the iTunes 9.2 and would like to downgrade back to a previous version you can do so by following this tutorial and you can also download all/any version of iTunes from our iTunes download page here

I’m using a iPhone 3GS 3.1.3 jailbroken with Spirit. Phone syncs fine with iTunes 9.2 but you cannot re-jailbreak using this version of iTunes / jailbreak version. So the trick is don’t upgrade if you might need to re jailbreak!
