A member of the iPhone Dev-Team Cpich has heard that Apple is planning to release a new version of the iOS 4 (4.0.2 and 3.2.2) in few hours / today, which will update the iPhone firmware and will prevent JailbreakMe.com from working.

Just so you know, if you accidentally update your iPhone or iPad or iPod Touch to iOS 4.0.2 / iOS 3.2.2, you will lose your Jailbreak and Unlock and you will not be able to Jailbreak or Unlock your device until a new tool is available.

The only way you can jailbreak again will be by downgrading back to iOS 4.0.1 or iOS 4 and you can only do so if you have saved your SHSH blobs.

A little birdie told me ios update due in a few hours (better to believe than ignore) so go ahead and save your SHSH before it’s too late!

Saving your SHSH blobs will let you restore to a firmware version that can be jailbroken and unlocked.

You can save your SHSH blobs by jailbreaking your device, opening Cydia, and pressing the “make my life easier button”. However, we recommend using one of the firmware umbrella tutorials below to be absolutely sure you have them saved.
