Is MyWi not working out for you? Too many errors and tutorials? Well don’t worry my friends, I have a brand new app for you to use for internet tethering and it’s “PdaNet 4.18″ . This is a great alternative to MyWi 4.8.3 and the best thing / reason is because PDANet 4.18 works just like MyWi and in some ways it is actually better then MyWi.

This application will create the WiFi HotSpot on the go so you can connect through your wireless antenna just like you would with you router or even the MyWi.

In this tutorial I will show you how you can install fully functional PdaNet 4.18 Tethering Application on you iPhone 4 for free without paying a penny for it.

By the time you complete this tutorial you will be tethering your brains out all day and all night, as long as you wish, and the best part about it is; it’s 100% FREE!!!

This version will work for iPhones and iPad 3G so you can install it on both types of devices and then tether off them as often as you wish. This is a very simple tutorial and should not be hard to follow.

First thing you have to do is UNINSTALL any version of MyWi… If you currently have MyWi installed you have to remove it prior to going forward with this tutorial.

In pictures listed below (click on pic. to enlarge) you will see there are multiple options to tether your iPhone; Wireless (HotSpot like MyWi),  WiFi Client on Computer and the USB as well.

NOTE: in the second picture you will see “Our-iPad” under the Computers Connected section… Well that should be enough proof for you that this app in fact does work and it works great. In this example I tethered my iPad to the iPhone 4 successfully.

Manual .deb Installation

If you’re using PC you have to have/download WinSCP
(If you don’t know what WinSCP is please Read This Article)

If you’re using Mac you have to have /download CyberDuck
(Same as WinSCP but for Mac )

Make sure you have OpenSSH installed and running on your iPhone
(If you don’t know what OpenSSH is please Read This Article)

You have to Download PdaNet_4.18.deb File and Save it to your Computer

Go ahead and download the Cracked FullScreen for PdaNet _ 4.18.deb File and Save it to your computer. You can download this file from HERE or at the bottom of this tutorial.

Start WinSCP and connect to iPhone. In host name field, type in the IP address of your iPhone. Make sure the port number is set to “22” by default this option is already set to 22 but in case it’s not then change it.

For user name use “root” and for password use “alpine” (NOTE: This user name and password is the same for all iPhones and iTouch iPods ever made by Apple). Don’t worry about any other fields or options.

Once you have logged in to your iPhone, browse to private/var/mobile directory.

Copy/Move the “PdaNet_4.18.deb” to your iPhone in this directory: private/var/mobile

Now while in the WinSCP go to Commands Menu at the top and then select “Open Terminal” or just press “Control + T” on your keyboard to open the Terminal window.

Once the Terminal Window opens up, you will need to type in this command into the “Enter Command” field… Type in dpkg -i PdaNet_4.18.deb and then press the Execute button.

That’s all you have to do… All you need to do now is either Respring your iPhone or Reboot…

NOTE: You will not see any type of notifications saying that the HotSpot is running or if any device is connected to the iPhone. You will have to open the PDANet 4.18 App and see who is connected to your iPhone. Basically you will not see the BLUE glowing strip on your iPhone like MyWi has, that’s all.

This thing works very very well…
