Back on October 14th I have written an article about the Apple iPad coming to Verizon / Verizon Wireless will start selling Apple iPad on October 28th. In this article I’m being little negative about the new Verizon iPad deal, their Broadband Plans, charges, devices, etc.

Well, today is that day… Starting today (Oct. 28th, 2010), Verizon Wireless and AT&T companies will start selling the iPad directly from their stores. At the Verizon Wireless the iPad will be sold in three different packages starting from $629, $729 and going up to $829.

I have some bad news for all Verizon Wireless customers who were waiting for the Verizon iPad and thought this day would never come…

Here is the kicker, Verizon Wireless will sell the WiFi-only iPad (NOT 3G) but to make you somewhat happy and to give you ability to have internet connection anywhere, the company (Verizon Wireless) will provide you with a free contract-less Mobile Internet MiFi device which will create a hot spot for you to use with your iPad.

Pricing for Mobile Broadband Plan for Verizon Wireless iPad is much higher than AT&T’s and on top of everything else, you will have to carry the MiFi device around everywhere you go as well.

Verizon Wireless Broadband Plans for iPad start at$20 for 1GB, then $35 for 3GB and finally a whopping $50 for 5GB (Click on image below to ZOOM IN)

Verizon Wireless Plans for iPad also include Text Messaging and Picture/Videe Messaging features

Text Messaging
Fun, easy way to stay in touch. Send and receive text messages of up to 160 characters. $0.20 for messages received and $0.20 (per recipient) for messages sent. Bundle plans also available.

Picture/Video Messaging
It’s fun & easy to share life’s most memorable moments with your friends and family. Send and receive picture messages to other Verizon Wireless camera phone customers or virtually any email address. $0.25 for sent (per recipient) and received picture/video messages. Bundle plans also available.

I don’t know what you all think about this but Verizon Wireless iPad deal + Broadband Plans just don’t look that appealing to me. Here is what AT&T will do with the Apple iPad..

AT&T will sell a WiFi+3G iPad with 3G Plans starting at $15 for 250MB (waste of $$$) then $25 for 2GB + free access to AT&T’s 23K+ WiFi hotspots spread in USA.

Here is My personal recommendation to all future iPad owners…

If you haven’t bought an iPad yet and are considering getting it now, I personally suggest you go for the AT&T iPad. It offers more value per GB and gives you access to AT&T’s free hotspots.

Verizon’s deal means you’ll have to carry the MiFi device everywhere which, for your information only lasts for 5-6 hours compared with iPad’s 10hr+ battery time.

Let me know what you guys think about the Verizon Wireless deal and now since there is a choice between Verizon Wireless and AT&T, which one will / would you go with? Be honest though.
