Hey guys, this is a quick heads up for everyone… People at ModMyi have put together a list of improvements found in the new version of Cydia. The new Cydia came out to public (very quietly) during the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Commenting on the release Saurik said, “some of my long term performance plans are ‘hitting pay dirt’, and Cydia is much faster than it was before; that said, it isn’t done yet: there’s one more thing that I think is going to make a huge difference that isn’t even in there yet but should be for the final release.”

Pull to Refresh for Mail, is a tweak by xh that lets you use the pull to refresh feature on the iPhone’s default mail app. In case you’re still confused as to what this app/tweak does than  here is a little tip… Facebook app has this feature as well, you know how you pull down the screen and then let it go to refresh a page? Same type of tweak but in a Native Apple Mail App.

This is a very cool tweak and should have been implemented by Apple long time ago.

This app is compatible with firmware 3.x and iOS4 and requires mobilesubstrate. By pulling your inbox list down past the search bar, you can reveal a quick trigger for refreshing like is seen in some popular apps. Read more…

How to Unlock the iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G Using UltraSn0w - 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04, 06.15.00, or 01.59 Baseband (Modem Firmware)

Hey guys, here are instructions on how to unlock the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3G for use with any GSM cellphone carrier using UltraSn0w. This will work with the iOS 4.2.1 firmware if you are on the 06.15.00 baseband.

Before you can follow these instructions you must have a jailbroken iPhone and you must be on the 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04, 06.15.00, or 01.59 baseband (modem firmware).

To find your firmware and modem firmware (baseband) versions you can go to SETTINGS>>>GENERAL>>>ABOUT and look at the Modem Firmware Field. Read more…

As promised the iPhone Dev-Team has released the iOS 4.2.1 unlock for the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS.

Please read this announcement very carefully and understand the consequences you might face if something goes wrong…

Today we’re pleased to announce our free carrier unlock for iPhone3G/3GS owners with a baseband later than 05.13.04. The unlock for that baseband exploited the AT+XAPP command, thanks to a crash initially discovered by @sherif_hashim (@Oranav also found this crash). Ultrasn0w is working for iOS 4.2.1 iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS

A lot of things happened while I was out of the state celebrating Thanksgiving with my family. One of the very important updates / news is for all UNLOCKERS out there.

Yesterday MuscleNerd has announced that UltraSn0w is now fully working on iOS 4.2.1. The iPhone Dev-Team has made good progress on the iOS 4.2.1 unlock and it should be available by Sunday for the iPhone 3G and 3GS.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

Hey guys, this is  just a quick post to say Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I thank all of you for coming to my site on daily basis, commenting, writing, asking questions, etc.

I will be out of town for couple of days visiting my family and celebrating Thanksgiving with both families (my Family and my Wife’s Family) so I will probably not be updating the site during these days.

How to Fix the iOS 4.2.1 Disappearing Music Problem

If your music has disappeared after updating to iOS 4.2.1, there is an easy fix.

After you update to the new OS, if you load the iPod (Music) app, you may see a message stating that your currently have “No Content” on the device.

Many people found this issue with their iPhones and iPod Touch devices after updating to the iOS 4.2.1 and there is a very easy fix for this problem.
