Apple iTunes Connect Service will be Closed for the Holidays, December 23rd to 28th

iTunes Connect Will Be Closed December 23-28

Apple has informed developers that iTunes Connect will be temporarily closed from December 23rd to December 28th.

I’m sure it will piss off a lot of developers, but I guess thats one of the drawbacks of being an Apple developer, you are on Apple’s leash at all times and have to do what they say.

I think the bad thing about this closing is the fact that developers will not be able to make any changes to their apps while the iTunes Connect is down so if something goes wrong with one of their apps, the developer will have to wait until December 28th to fix any issues.

This does not affect app consumers in anyway but as I stated above, since the iTunes Connect service will be unavailable  it will not allow developers to make changes to or submit any new apps during that time frame.

iTunes Connect will be temporarily unavailable from Thursday, December 23 through Tuesday, December 28 for the winter holidays. iTunes Connect access will be back online for use on December 29.

If you choose to set an available date for your app to go live during the scheduled holiday shutdown, your app will not go live on the App Store until iTunes Connect resumes for business on December 29. Please plan your releases accordingly.
