Hack your Pandora Radio App, Unlimited Skips and no more Ads
Everyone loves Pandora radio (I love it), its free and by far, the Pandora Radio is one of the best music apps for the iPhone. There’s always a catch when something is free and the Pandora music app is no exception as it limits you to a certain amount of songs you can skip and it also displays ads near the bottom of the screen / close to the control buttons.
With this Pandora Skip Hack you will have unlimited music skipping and the ads will be killed as well.
Follow this simple installation tutorial and you will have unlimited skips in your Pandora in no time. Good Luck.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- If you’re using PC you have to have/download WinSCP
(If you don’t know what WinSCP is please Read This Article) - If you’re using Mac you have to have /download CyberDuck
(Same as WinSCP but for Mac) - Make sure you have OpenSSH installed and running on your iPhone
(If you don’t know what OpenSSH is please Read This Article) - You have to Download PandoraHack.deb File and Save it to your Computer
ALL DOWNLOAD LINKS FOR PandoraHack.deb and ALL REQUIRED FILES ARE PROVIDED BELOW / AT THE END OF THIS ARTICLE
Go ahead and download the PandoraHack.deb File and Save it to your computer. You can download this file from HERE or at the bottom of this tutorial.
Start WinSCP and connect to iPhone. In host name field, type in the IP address of your iPhone. Make sure the port number is set to “22” by default this option is already set to 22 but in case it’s not then change it.
For user name use “root” and for password use “alpine” (NOTE: This user name and password is the same for all iPhones and iTouch iPods ever made by Apple). Don’t worry about any other fields or options.
Once you have logged in to your iPhone, browse to private/var/mobile directory.
Copy/Move the “PandoraHack.deb” to your iPhone in this directory: private/var/mobile
Now while in the WinSCP go to Commands Menu at the top and then select “Open Terminal” or just press “Control + T” on your keyboard to open the Terminal window.
Once the Terminal Window opens up, you will need to type in this command into the “Enter Command” field… Type in dpkg -i PandoraHack.deb and then press the Execute button.
NOTE: You have to type the name of the file exactly as you see it on the file name. If there are capital letters in the .deb file name then you have to use the same type of format when typing in the “dpkg -i” command in the Terminal

I opened up “open in terminal.app” under the “go” section of cyberduck. It seams like it worked but there are still adds and I don’t know how many skips I used to have so not sure how to find out if it worked or not.

if you get this message in Terminal: “dpkg: requested operation requires superuser privilege ”
type “su” and hit return when you first launch terminal then it will ask for a password, type “alpine” then tap return and then try to install the deb.file, u should have success

tried winscp and ifile and couldnt get it to install.
is the .deb in any repos? do you have to install pandora first from cydia/app store?

so i just did this and it worked perfect!!!!! I skipped and skipped till till my thumbs got sore and i am a fan of this patch ,no limits on skips!!!!! but iam wondering if this gets rid of the 40hr limit pandora forces on the free users?
also for everyone out there iam running 4.1 on iphone 4 and the news version of pandora 3.1.5 and its working i used my mac and cyber duck and once i was in my phone went to “go” and used the “open in terminal.app and thats where i opened the patch and type dpkg -i your file name.deb and hit enter for instance my file was called fat.deb so i typed dpkg i- fat deb worked like a charm

does this work with samsung intercept virgin mobile android phones? i dont own an iphone and i cant find a patch specifically for an android that does this ? any ideas?
A radio is a input output divice.
It is a very important input divice.
It the main catagories, audio frequency,
receiver, speker etc it is a vary good product.
just using cydia’s own debian installing is more convenient. what you need to do is to put the .deb file under the /var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall and reboot your device.
I did everything exactly like it said and now pandora won’t even open. I have an ipod touch 4 and ios 4.2.1. I guess pandora patched this:(.
i did everything the instraction said from the bigging to the last step where i execute the file and without restarting my phone i tried to open the pandora app already installed on my iphone and it didnt want to open so i restarted my phone but i still couldnt open the app so i deleted it and downloaded it again from apple store and i was able to open but the ads didnt go away. i need help pleasee
