AT&T has issued a statement on iPhone 4 pre-order sales saying the numbers were 10 times higher than the numbers for the iPhone 3GS and that they are suspending pre-ordering today.

Apple today has issued a statement in which they have stated that more than 600,000 iPhone 4s have been pre-ordered through Apple and its carrier partners yesterday.

I have pre-ordered my iPhone 4 today (Finally) and my ship date is July 2 and delivery date is between July 6 – 8. Image above is the Order Acknowledgment (Receipt) from Apple. NOTE: The Order Acknowledgment doesn’t show up in your mailbox right away. You will receive it in couple of hours so don’t panic.

I pre-ordered my device from Apple Online Store because AT&T site is still down.

If you haven’t ordered yours up till now, you are out of luck for almost a month as online Apple Store in US now suggests July 14th as the new shipping date for iPhone 4. Have you pre-ordered yours yet?

After today’s AT&T and Apple.com the iPhone 4 pre-order fiasco and servers being up and down many people (including me) have been finally able to pre-order the iPhone 4 via Apple.com after hours of downtime.

Try to Pre-Order iPhone 4 through Apple Online Store at Apple.com

Since Apple Online Store and AT&T sites are down and can’t handle the traffic I decided to reserve my iPhone 4 through the Official Apple Store App that was released today June 15th, 2010.

I thought I was going to see another “error message” but to my surprise I was able to Reserve one iPhone 4 unit at the near by Apple Store for a pick up on the release date of the iPhone 4 (June 24th).

Apple updated their site and added an Online Store option to pre-order the iPhone 4 today, and its servers can’t handle the traffic either, or maybe AT&T’s.

I just tried to pre-order mine, and got this error message. A quick google search tells me we’re not alone on this one either.

It does seems like it’s probably an AT&T issue because it’s mostly giving out the errors when it was asking me for my AT&T account information to see if I was eligible for an upgrade

If you get this error message you’re not alone on this… It’s not only Apple’s website/store experiencing issues, but the AT&T site, and the AT&T Retail Store Internal Network are also having problems. It seems as if both companies were a bit unprepared in terms of meeting the demand for pre-orders.

Apple has closed the exploit used for the Spirit jailbreak in the new iOS 4.0 so the all-in-one untethered iDevice jailbreak for iPhone 3.1.3, iPad 3.2 and iPod touch  2G/3G will not work with the newest Apple Firmware / iOS 4.0.

Spirit is still Available for both Windows  and Mac OS if your iPhone is 3.1.3 or lower, iPad is 3.2, or iPod Touch is 3.1.3 or lower.

Spirit is a userland jailbreak but it does not work out-of-the browser as previously thought.
