Hey guys I have some bad news for all Jailbreakers out there who are anxiously waiting on the iOS 4.2 since the iPhone Dev Team said it could be Jailbroken right after Apple releases it.
According to a tweet from Comex the iOS 4.2 jailbreak may be delayed because Cydia is not yet ready for the new firmware and so as a result, the next update for Limera1n based iOS 4.2 jailbreak might be delayed but he didn’t really say anything else about it. At this point there is no estimated release date for the new iOS 4.2 Jailbreak but I’m sure it won’t be too long.
This would be a good time for all of you to save your SHSH blobs on your iPhones, iPads or iPod Touch devices running on iOS 4.1, tutorial is at the end of this article.
However, a 4.2 jailbreak might be delayed because Cydia doesn’t work on 4.2 yet. Not sure how close @chpwn is to finishing his fixes. Read more…

Members of Chronic Dev Team have finally confirmed that SHAtter based GreenPois0n iOS 4.1 Jailbreak for all iOS based devices will finally come out on October 10th 2010 at 10:10:10AM GMT.
According to them, the said tool is done and is ready to be released out to public for all of you and us to enjoy on the mentioned date and time.
Posixninja recently tweeted the release date of the iOS 4.1 jailbreak tool called Greenpois0n:
I guess sunday will be a funday after all

As usual, while we are all waiting for jailbreak tools for iOS 4.1 (which is based on SHAtter exploit) to be officially released, a fake tool has been spotted around in the wild / on the internet under the name of GreenPois0n which is claiming to jailbreak all iOS devices from 4.0.2 and above.
The fake GreenPois0n tool is actually a malicious Malware or a Trojan. Once again guys, the GreenPois0n tool which is expected to jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 4, iPod touch and iPad will be released by the Chronic Dev Team and at this point everything is pretty quiet in their shop and nothing has been released as of yet.
Any GreenPois0n Jailbreak you see out there is FAKE at this point and not only that, it is considered a Virus, Trojan and / or Malware by security experts at Kaspersky. Read more…

iOS 4.1 was hacked and exploit was found hours after Apple released it on Wednesday September 8th. This exploit will work with iPhone 4, iPad, iPod Touch (New 4G) so don’t worry, the Jailbreak release for iOS 4.1 is imminent.
I’m not sure if you guys heard this or not but the iPhone hacker pod2g who is part of the Chronic Dev Team and also the same person who previously found the 24kpwn exploit has successfully managed to find another bootrom based exploit which can jailbreak all iOS based devices on the latest iOS 4.1 firmware.
And this means is that the next jailbreak is going to be based on bootrom exploit which unlike JailbreakMe will enable users to change boot and recovery mode logos among many other things and also could mean that it will be TETHERED or UNTETHERED.
Here is what members of iPhone Dev Team and Chronic Dev Team had tweeted on their Twitter profiles; Read more…

On Wednesday September 8th 2010 just like I was stating in my previously written article; Apple has released iOS 4.1 for the iPhone and iPod touch bringing numerous new features including a fix for the iPhone 4 proximity issues.
This is a Major Update and it contains a lot of improvements and additional features which some of us are really waiting for.
As I always tell you guys, and I will say it again; Jailbreakers and Unlockers, STAY AWAY From this update iOS 4.1 or you will be locked out and your device will lose the Jailbreak.
NOTE: The Dev-Team is currently working on the iOS 4.1 Jailbreak and the Exploit has already been found for this Operating System / Update, so sit tight and wait for the Jailbreak tool.

Couple of days ago I wrote about the new iOS 4.1 firmware update release by Apple and the fact it will be released next week, Wednesday September 8th. As you all know currently there is no Jailbreak or Unlock solution for the new iOS 4.0.2 or the iOS 4.1.
Dev-Team didn’t want to waste the possible exploit on the minor update which was the iOS 4.0.2 so I wrote an Article about that as well. You can read it here. Instead of wasting another exploit on a minor update (4.0.2 and 3.2.2) the iPhone Dev-Team will focus on finding a new exploit which could be used on the next major firmware update i.e. iOS 4.1.
Today, Dev-Team The iPhone Dev-Team member MuscleNerd comfirmed that Comex is Read more…

I usually give this warning to all Jailbreakers and Unlockers out there right before the new iOS Update / Upgrade comes out. Well here we go again.
According to Apple’s UK website, iOS 4.1 will hit on Wednesday, September 8th which means that ALL devices will get this update in every country.
The US Apple website still displays the non-commital “Coming Soon” message, so we have to keep our eyes on it for next couple of days.
Jailbreakers and Unlockers, STAY AWAY From this update or you will be locked out and your device will lose the Jailbreak.

As we all know, when the 4.0 and 4.0.1, 4.0.2 iOS came out all iPhone 3G iPhones / Devices (and Users) were pretty much bastardized by the LAG and all the other issues with the iOS 4.0.
The iPhone 3G was pretty much crippled after the 4.0 or higher update was installed on the iPhone 3G device. Even something as simple as “typing” was (and still IS) very slow (Laggy) and simply frustrating to all iPhone 3G users.
Steve Jobs promised ALL iPhone 3G users the FIX that is supposedly coming in the new upcoming iOS 4.1 (Which is coming next week by the way) and as we all know the 4.1 GM version was released for developers right after the Apple September Event (September 1st, 2010) so Lifehacker has posted some very interesting results / comparisons between the iOS 4.1 (NEW) and the current iOS 4 on the iPhone 3G Device.
Check out this video comparison showing the performance of the iPhone 3G on iOS 4 versus iOS 4.1. Read more…

At the Apple’s September Music Event today, Steve Jobs briefly talked about the iOS 4.1 and now Apple has posted the new iOS 4.1 GM Seed firmware and SDK for developers. They can be downloaded from the iOS Dev Center but by Developers only.
The SDK is build 10M2309 and the firmware is build 8B117. During today’s Apple Special Event it was announced that iOS 4.1 would be released next week and includes fixes for the iPhone 4 Proximity Sensor, Bluetooth issues, and performance issues with the iPhone 3G.
New in iOS 4.1 is High Dynamic Range photos which takes three pictures at different exposures and combines them to produce Read more…
