The all-in-one untethered iDevice “SPIRIT” Jailbreak Tool for iPhone 3.1.3, iPad 3.2 and iPod touch 2G/3G  has just been updated to bring support for iTunes 9.2. This update is available for Windows OS. NOTE: You can download the updated Spirit Jailbreak here.

Earlier when Apple released the final version of iTunes 9.2, it broke the compatibility with Spirit and so this new version brings the required fix to make it compatible with iTunes 9.2. However no new feature has been added. It still does not work with iOS 4 and iPhone 4. Only iOS 3.1.3 and 3.1.2 for iPhone 3GS, 3G, 2G, iPod touch, and iOS 3.2 for iPad is supported. Read more…

Apple has closed the exploit used for the Spirit jailbreak in the new iOS 4.0 so the all-in-one untethered iDevice jailbreak for iPhone 3.1.3, iPad 3.2 and iPod touch  2G/3G will not work with the newest Apple Firmware / iOS 4.0.

Spirit is still Available for both Windows  and Mac OS if your iPhone is 3.1.3 or lower, iPad is 3.2, or iPod Touch is 3.1.3 or lower.

Spirit is a userland jailbreak but it does not work out-of-the browser as previously thought.

If you had iTunes related errors while trying to Jailbreak with Spirit Jailbreak by comex you’re in luck, there is a new tool out for you to use called iFixer.

iFixer is a new utility that will fix iTunes 9.0.x and 9.1.x related errors when running Spirit Jailbreak for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, or blackra1n on Windows.

The all-in-one untethered iDevice jailbreak for iPhone 3.1.3, iPad 3.2 and iPod touch 2G/3G is finally here. Available for both Windows and Mac OS. Spirit is a userland jailbreak but it does not work out-of-the browser as previously thought.

It is in fact a simple one click app, like Blackra1n which can jailbreak (not unlock) any Apple iDevice on iPhone 3.1.2 or 3.1.3. Read more…
