Since the new GreenPois0n RC5 iOS 4.2.1 Untethered Jailbreak tool by Chronic Dev Team is out all iPhone 4, iPad and iPod Touch owners / users can now jailbreak their devices even on the latest iOS 4.2.1
For those of us iPhone 4 users who are still on 4.0.1 or 4.1 and still would like to keep our unlock the basebands must remain at the same version or the iPhone will be bricked.
If you will update your iPhone to the latest iOS 4.2.1 your basebands / Modem Firmware will be updated as well and you will not be able to unlock your iPhone for the use on other carriers such as T-Mobile, Fido, Rogets, etc.
This tutorial will show you how to upgrade your iPhone 4 to 4.2.1 without upgrading its baseband using TinyUmbrella. Read more…
Those of you who recently unlocked their iPhones running iOS 4.2.1 or 4.1 know that the process wasn’t as straightforward as we expected.
All theses days you have been told that, Baseband cant be downgraded right? Well, it looks like that is going to change. Yeah! You heard that right. Soon, you should be able to downgrade your baseband.
The latest UltraSn0w unlock works for the iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS with baseband 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, or 05.13.04. It also works with iPhone 4 with baseband 01.59.00. But if you’re iPhone is on a different baseband, you have to upgrade to 06.15.00, either using RedSn0w or PwnageTool.
This new unlock doesn’t come without its share of issues, with battery drain for some of us, and/or GPS issues for others. Fortunately, it seems the Dev Team is working on a baseband downgrade method, which would make the unlock process easier, and safer…
From what I understand, the goal would be to allow an iPhone with the 4.2.1 baseband to be downgraded to 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, or 05.13.04, to then use UltraSn0w to unlock. Apparently, this baseband downgrade method might also work for baseband 06.15.00. Read more…

Past couple of days were just nutts… With the new Limera1n Jailbreak released by Geohot the next big question people have been asking is, where is the unlock? It seems we may be getting it sooner than we expected, the video below explains it all.
The new Limera1n Jailbreak will be equipped with new “Snow” unlock? This is all happening very fast so I’m not sure if this video is real of fake but watch it and let me know what you think.
The video shows new Unlock as the LimeSn0w which looks very credible and 100% similar to the previously released unlock (by GeoHot) called BlackSn0w.
It is recommended if you jailbroke your iPhone or iPad with the Limera1n Jailbreak to keep the Limera1n tear drop installer as the unlock might show up later down the road as an option to install. Read more…
Great News for all you Unlockers out there!!! Sherif Hashim has discovered another exploitable iPhone baseband crash which could bring an unlock for iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2.
So what does this mean? Sherif Hashim has managed to crash the new 05.14.02 and 2.10.04 baseband which can ultimately lead to an unlock for iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2 for both iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 users.
With that being said, I don’t expect them to release it anytime before Apple releases iOS 4.2 to public. If you are an iPhone 4 user, you can either use TinyUmbrella to update to iOS 4.1 without the updated baseband Read more…

This Jailbreak Tool / GreenPois0n will be released by the Chronic Dev Team not the iPhone Dev Team but many devs from Chronic and iPhone Dev Team are working together on this Jailbreak.
In the last days or even weeks people had a lot of questions regarding the exploit called SHAtter, a tool for jailbreaking GreenPois0n which will be Untethered and will also Hacktivate your iPhone or iPad.
Let me be clear and let you know what really is going on and I will also talk about the return of the famous iPhone hacker “GeoHot” / George Hotz to the jailbreak scene. Why is he back? Why did he use another exploit (waste of an exploit) Read more…
