Flexicorder a new video recording app is the first iPhone app that allows both front and back cameras (for iPhone 4) to be used during a single recording session leading to some interesting possibilities.

Initial user testing revealed ways in which this feature was used. Some of the more popular uses were shooting self videos and outdoor shooting.

It also allows many output resolutions and bit rates for video to be saved. With the massive increase in video recording using iPhones, it has been often observed that people run out storage space.

Not all videos are equally important to be saved in high-def, so having this option is nice. With little tweaking in recording settings, the space saving can be enormous without any visible loss in video quality. Read more…
